Hongyan Revolutionary Memorial Hall


Located at the Hongyan Village in the suburbs of the city, the Hongyan Revolutionary Memorial Hall was the site of the office of the South China Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the 8th Route Army when Chongqing was the capital of the Kuomintang authorities from 1938-1945 during the Anti-Japanese War (1937-1945). No. 50,Zengjiayan (i.e. Zhou Enlai's residence), Guiyuan and the former office of the New China Daily form part of the Memorial Hall.
