Hohhot is the capital city of Inner Mongolia in China. Xilamuren Grassland is situated 90km away in the North of Hohhot, which is an area with half of desert and half of grassland.
This day tour will let you visit the Mongolian yurt by private vehicle to Xilamuren Grassland from Hohhot, and view the impressive landscape here. Pickup from your centrally located Hohhot hotel is at 8am.
At 8 am, you will meet your guide from your centrally located Hohhot hotel, and take a nearly 2-hour car ride to the Xilamuren Grassland by private car.
Xilamuren means "yellow water" in Mongolian. It is also known as Taihe after Puhui Temple, a Lama temple built near the Xilamuren River in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). Xilamuren Prairie, a typical example on the plateau, is covered by green grass and fresh flowers every summer and autumn, making those seasons the best times to visit.
When you arrive here, you will explore the large area to view the grassland, yurts, horses, and desert, etc.
Enjoy a local lunch.
In the afternoon, you will take the car back to your Hohhot hotel where the wonderful day tour concludes.
