Yu Garden


Yuyuan Garden is located near the City God Temple in Shanghai. It is a well-preserved old garden which took about 20 years to build since 1559 by a rich official Pan Yunduan during late Ming Dynasty.

Covering 20,000 skm, Yuyuan Garden is constructed with houses, pavilions, bridges, bonsais, old trees, stages etc. with typical Suzhou gardens style. No matter where you go, you can get a good photo in the garden. Water, buildings, flowers, plants formed an incredible landscape. Moreover,. there are exhibition halls to exhibit the history of the garden.

Outside Yuyuan Garden, it is bi bazaar where travellers can buy all sorts of souvenirs and taste typical Shanghai food, particularly Xiaolongbao here. It is also in the center of the Shanghai old town, travelleres can wander from Yuayuan Garden to view traditional Shanghai old houses, Shikumeng.

Entrance fee for the Yuyuyan Garden is CNY45.
