Museum of Nanyue King Tomb


Museum of the Tomb of the Nanyue King of the Western Han Period is situated in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China. The original tomb was excavated in 1983 while constructing a hotel here. The tomb proves the long history of Guangzhou that can be tracked back to 2200 years ago.

Visitors can enter into the tombs to view the original tombs that are well-reserved for Zhaomo who was the Second King of Nanyue Kingdom(137AD-122AD). There is a central corridor and 4 chambers beside the corridor, where there are various relics including the seals, jade vessels, bronze vessels etc. that were excavated in the tombs.

There is also an exhibition hall to display all kinds of relics excavated in both the tomb and Guangzhou.
