Pretty China 12 Days: Beijing, Zhangjiajie, Longji, Yangshuo, HK

Welcome to Beijing, the capital of P.R.China. Upon arrival by flight or train, you will be met and transferred to Beijing hotel by our representative. 

Today you will take 2-hour ride to the Mutianyu Great Wall, which was built 600 years ago in the early Ming Dynasty. You can choose walk up or take cable car up to the Great Wall, and view the imposing ancient Chinese military construction. The impressive Wall extends like a dragon on the top of the endless mountains. It is a nice walk on the Wall to enjoy the fantastic scenery.

Lunch is included at a local restaurant before moving back to Beijing hotel.

Today you will visit the biggest city square in the world, the Tian'anmen Square. Then walk to The Forbidden City(close on Mondays), the biggest palace in the world. Explore the main buildings with a local guide in the palace. Then you will fly to Zhangjiajie. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to hotel. Note: due to the limitation of visitors by the Forbidden City, we will arrange to visit Temple of Heaven if no tickets are available.

Today, you will be transferred (approximately 1 hour) to Zhangjiajie National Park. The adventure begins with a breathtaking ascent on the glass-walled Bailong Elevator, which swiftly transports you to the Yuanjiajie summit for unparalleled cliffside views. Here, you will encounter the monumental "Avatar Hallelujah Mountain," the soaring pillar-like landscape that inspired James Cameron’s blockbuster film.

In the afternoon, continue to Tianzi Mountain, celebrated as the "Monarch of the Peak Forest." This scenic area offers spectacular panoramic vistas and is famed for its four natural wonders—most notably the ever-shifting Sea of Clouds.

Your tour concludes with a visit to the picturesque Ten-Mile Gallery, a tranquil valley adorned with stunning rock formations. For a relaxed yet immersive experience, you will enjoy a one-way ride on the electric sightseeing train.

Head to Tianmen Mountain, access to the summit is via either a cable car or the sightseeing bus along the dramatic mountain road. Key highlights include the winding Tongtian Avenue, the majestic Tianmen Cave, the serene Tianmen Temple, the thrilling Glass Walkway, the cliff-hugging Ghost Valley Plank Road, and the summit peak, and Yunmeng Fairy Summit etc.

The descent features a spectacular conclusion: you will first take a shuttle cable car to the upper station of the Tianmen Mountain Cableway. From there, you will embark on a breathtaking ride on the world's longest passenger cableway (7,455 meters in length with a 1,518-meter vertical descent) or sightseeing bus back to the city.

Tianmen Mountain utilizes a dual-route system to manage visitor flow. Route A: Cable car ascent, sightseeing bus descent. Route B: Sightseeing bus ascent, cable car descent. The specific route will be arranged on the travel day based on real-time conditions.

Today you will take 1-hour bullet train ride to Fenghuang old town, which is small town that was built beside the Tuo River. Explore the old town in the afternoon and evening.

Today you will take 2-hour car ride to Mt Fanjing that was inscribed on the heritage list by UNESCO in 2018, you will take a cable car up and continue walking to visit. The well-known attractions include Golden Summit with red clouds, Yuejing Mountain, Sleeping Buddha, Mushroom Stone, Jiulong Pond, Layers of Mountains, Phoenix Mountain, etc.

Afterwards you will be transferred to hotel for a rest. 

Today you will take about 5-hour car ride for 400km from Tongren to Longsheng to view the rice terrace in Longji. You will stay in the local inn, where you will view the fabulous rice paddies.

Enjoy the Rice Terraces scenery around PingAn and Dazhai villages, and you can walk up to the top of hill for a panorama of the rice paddies.

After lunch, you will take 3-hour ride to Yangshuo, a picturesque small town with stunning Li River and Karst mountains. You can wander around West Street this evening.  

Today you can ride a bike to the stunning Yulong River, or hike around if you do not want to ride bike. 

Then you will take a boat on the pretty Li River to view the picturesque karst mountains and the rice paddies. 

Today you will be transferred to Guilin Railway Station to catch the 4-hour bullet train to Hong Kong. Upon arrival, you will be transferred by local representative to hotel and check in the hotel with your passport. Enjoy your free time. 

Tour concludes in Hong Kong today, you can depart anytime to airport at your own cost. Note: Hotel check out time is at noon.
